Dear Faculty Members,
We had gone through the Raspberry Pi IOT practical lab experiments provided by Mumbai University for BSc IT & CS course. The practical lab experiments are good but not logical because it is impossible to cover all the experiments in academic practices because of the shortage of time & learner is fresher. The lab experiments have provided by MU are itself complicated & will consume lots of time. Ultimately the aim of having Raspberry Pi IOT in the syllabus will be get vanished.
Also, MU hasn’t much focused on the protocol based experiments which are very important from Raspberry Pi learning & projects development point of view. It is found that the maximum of the experiments is rotating around the GPIOs & UART only.
While discussing with professionals & expert R&D team, we came to the conclusion that from the practical & professional point of view the practical lab experiments must cover following points which will ultimately help the students to work with the variety of projects & modules,
- I2C Protocol
- PWM Generation
- ADC Interfaces
- UART Protocol
- Remote Logins
- GPIOs
- WI-FI interfaces
- App Development
The points mentioned above are very important from Raspberry Pi learning & projects development point of view.
It is our suggestion to the colleges that, they shouldn’t purchase the complicated Raspberry Pi kits. You can cover all above-mentioned points with a simple Raspberry Pi kits only
